Company History

What began as a hand fashioned heart pin for Jean Schnaak to give to her airline pilot husband, Neil for Valentine's Day in 1994, is now, sixteen years later The Loving Heart Collection by Jean Schnaak® - fine jewelry accompanied by sentimental verse cards with the purpose of expressing love for others.

The business was established in 1995 in Tennessee as Heart to Heart Jewelry. In 2003 the business was renamed and established as Loving Heart, LLC. Under the direction of Jean Cotten Schnaak in 2004 national trademarks as The Loving Heart Collection by Jean Schnaak® and the heart design mark were acquired.

Inspired by her loving parents, her husband, her career in nursing and her relationship with God, Jean continues to design gift items and handle every aspect of Loving Heart, LLC, a company dedicated to helping people express their love to others.

Loving Heart, LLC is a member of Jewelers of America. Loving Heart, LLC complies with the laws and regulations as put forth by the Jewelers Vigilence Committee pertaining to the manufacture, sale and advertising of jewelry and jewelry products. Loving Heart, LLC is a member of the Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America. Loving Heart, LLC is also a merchant member of a gift selection service FindGift.com.

Over the past twelve years The Loving Heart Collection by Jean Schnaak®, formerly known as The Heart to Heart Collection, has been carried in over 30 specialty stores, showcased at Sparkman Jewelers in Franklin, Tennessee, and featured in Nashville, Tennessee's main newspaper, The Tennessean, as a Valentine's Day love story. In 1997, the Loving Heart Pin™ received first runner up in a Peter Braums Ltd "Designing Tomorrow's Classic Award" at the Jewelers Circular Keystone Show in Las Vegas.
Victoria Magazine's, August 2000 issue incorporated the story about Jean Schnaak in an article about women entrepreneurs and e-commerce entitled, Turning Passions Into Profits on the Web.
The New York based Jewelry Information Center (JIC) selected the Loving Heart Pin in December 2004 as one of the hottest gift items for men for the holiday season.
In 2005, Jean Schnaak was selected as one of QVC's Decade of Discovery entrepreneurs of the year and introduced the Loving Heart^™ Pin to QVC viewers live from St. Louis.
In February 2006, Loving Heart's latest design, the Pocket Heart was featured by the Jewelry Information Center on national t.v. segments as a great new gift for Father's Day.

Supporting American craftsmanship, each piece of jewelry designed by Jean Schnaak is hand crafted in the United States by the lost wax casting method and hand polished. Warren Buffett's holding company, Bershire Hatheway, owns the U.S. company aligned with Jean Schnaak to create her designs.

The Loving Heart Collection by Jean Schnaak® distinquishes itself in three specific ways.

The Loving Heart™ Pin is the first pin designed specifically to be worn discreetly by a man inside of his jacket over his heart. This creation opens up a new niche in gift giving for men. As of 2008, there is no other product in the market place that is designed and branded to be worn as an item of sentiment hidden inside the jacket over the heart. Though many women wear the Loving Heart™ Pin, the concept of a sentimental yet privately worn jewelry item makes it a wonderful gift for a man in the work environment.

The second distinquishing feature of the The Loving Heart Collection by Jean Schnaak® is that each item of jewelry is accompanied by a Loving Heart™ verse card. Customers select the verse which best fits their relationship with the recipient and the occasion. The high quality heavy cardstock is professionally printed with a delicate lacy floral background and has a heart shape die strike cutout for displaying a Loving Heart^™.The designer's own story compliments the back of the tent style card.

Loving Heart, LLC is committed to helping people express their love for others around the globe. To that end, Loving Heart™ verses have been translated into multiple languages.Thanks to the translation help of friends, teachers and international students at Suffield Academy, the Loving Heart™ verse cards are available in several languages.
